Parents/guardians who do not wish their children to participate in religious instruction, should notify the school of this fact.

The education and development of the children in St. Kevin’s N.S. is the focus of the Board of Management, and all decisions taken are in their interests and in the interest of the general school community. The Board recognises that parents/guardians are the primary educators of their children, and teachers are professionals in education. All parties work in partnership to benefit and support the children.

The Board of Management, through its policies and procedures, and the delivery of religious instruction aims to:

  • Provide a safe environment where children feel protected and cared for.
  • Encourage relationships and behaviour based on mutual respect where everyone in the school community treats each other with courtesy, kindness and consideration.
  • Create a warm, friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the school.
  • Encourage a sense of pride in, and belonging to, our school.
